Gymnastics is a sport which includes various types of physical exercises activities like balance acts, strength, flexibility, agility, co-ordination, and endurance etc. The movements involved in gymnastics activities are mainly contributes in the development of the various body parts like arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups.

There are various types of Gymnastics and the standard activities are as follows

Artistic Gymnastics is usually divided into Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics. Men compete on six events: Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar, while women compete on four: Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise.

The Gymnastics helps in the development of the Alertness, Precision, Daring, self-confidence, and self-discipline are mental traits that can also be developed through gymnastic activities

The most common form of competitive gymnastics is artistic gymnastics, which consists of (for women WAG) the events floor, vault, uneven bars, and beam. For men MAG, it consists of the events floor, vault, rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, and horizontal bar.

Participants in gymnastics-related sports can include young children, recreational-level athletes, and competitive athletes at varying levels of skill, including world-class athletes.
